    This is a critical role providing assistance and support to the Team Lead, Cash Mangement in a timely completion of carrier, provider, federal and state regulations. 

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares all live checks and cash received directly for deposit within 24 hours of receipt. Must balance all cash and checks received to ensure all are accounted for and that batches balance out.
    • Recognizes missing or inaccurate information for all payments received from practices. Analyzes issues and contacts physician practices, defines issue and seeks resolution so that cash may be balanced.  
    • Identifies trends and issues with cash and or balancing and determines impact to productivity and bottom-line. Provides backup and clear explanation of issues to leadership
    • Provides direct support to office / centers to effectively manage end of day processing, cash collection, and attachments needed to process bank deposits and scans into practice management system.
    • Communicates regularly with front office staff ensuring proper cash reconciliation
    • Maintains up to date listing of all Five Star providers and their lockbox addresses. Provides updates if changes are incurred.
    • Processes secondary claims and follows up ensuring that claims have gone to carriers correctly or have moved to self-pay status as appropriate
    • Provides scanning for all payment explanations and ensures they are scanned to the correct account in the practice management system.
    • Posts payments, denials and requests for information received, including inter-company transfers received from and sent to related entities.
    • Posts all electronic payments (ERAs). Maintains accurate and current spreadsheet(s) outlining deposit activity.

    Minimum Education and Experience

    Level II Staff 

     

    - A High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred

     

    - 3 year(s) of customer service experience required,

     

    - Of which, 1 year of revenue cycle management, healthcare business development or practice operations experience required

     

    - Knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required

     

    Leve I Staff 

     

    - A High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred

     

    - 2 year(s) of customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting

     

    - Knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
