    This is a critical role providing assistance and support to the Manager, Revenue Integrity & Denial Management in timely completion of carrier, provider, federal and state regulations. 

    Responsibilities

     

    • Creates and enters claims as directed from coding and/or from providers into the practice management system timely & accurately
    • Performs daily reconciliation of charges to ensure that all charges received have been entered properly, timely and accurately
    • Review all edits, rejections and denials to identify errors, correct and submit corrected claim/ invoice
    • Review denials to identify trends and advise leadership on appropriate remedial methods
    • Provides direct support to all offices/ centers to effectively manage insurance processing.
    • Provides regular insurance follow up on rejections and outstanding accounts receivable claims to maximize collections and maintain accurate patient account information. Responsible for general billing support functions to ensure efficient utilization of time.
    • Codes and lists procedures to the highest degree of specificity and accuracy to ensure correct and optimal reimbursement.

    Minimum Education and Experience

    Level II Staff 

     

    - A High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred

     

    - 3 year(s) of customer service experience required,

     

    - Of which, 1 year of revenue cycle management, healthcare business development or practice operations experience required

     

    - Knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required

     

    Leve I Staff 

     

    - A High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred

     

    - 2 year(s) of customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting

     

    - Knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) is required

     

    ** “CPC (certified professional coder) or equivalent certification required”
